    Default McGard Prop Lock

We just put a McGard Prop Lock on our Yamaha F250. You DON'T USE a cotter pin on their lock which terrifies me as I am accustomed to a cotter pin for added protection. Anyone out there use the McGard to protect the SS Prop? Anyone ever had a prop spin off? Any input on the prop lock is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Sorry - I did a quick search on THT and my questions have been answered.

I have only hear about(not the one you mentioned just in general) them rusting on for good and making it a pain in the a55 to get the prop off. If you are worried, just take the prop off when not in use. I would feel better with some type of lock pin(cotter pin). Just my opinion. Martin

Thanks - it's hard for me to get rid of the cotter pin but I now see how the McGards work and there seems to be tons of happy customers.
