Hey, who's the good looking guy on the Colton flyreel website? Looks vaguely familiar!

I do not know. He looks like some ole reprobate who also uses spinning and casting tackle on occasion.

Those are good prices. Bill, what are your thoughts on the value amd performance of the reels and how they compare to others in the salty arena? Any others have experience with them?

I am a little behind on Colton stuff right now. Bob is finishing up his latest S/W reels. I should be able to try the newest soon.

WB, interested in what you have to say. I googled them. There seems to be s dust up with some compnay in China that either makes their reels or something close it. I am curious as to what the controversy is all about (while not reaching any conclusions or offering any judgement).

Bob visits most of the fly boards and I will let him tell his story if he wishes. I do know from talking with Bob over time the reels are made in local machine shops today. The initial reels were produced out of the country. I have as yet to see his newest reel.

When I use a product, I am quite willing to share my honest impressions of it in a public forum, but I am unwilling to speculate on stuff I have not used on the basis of second hand information.

If you want info from "the horse's mouth", give Bob a call. His number is on his site. It is a small company and you can actually talk to the owner.

Thanks, WB. I will give Bob a holler.
