Croaker in the James
My son and a couple of friends are coming up June 11th thru that weekend. Planning on Croaker and anything else. Are or will the Croaks be there by then? Haven't seen much info yet. Thanks

You should have no problem finding them by that time. Look for them around the MMBT and the JRB. Find the boats and you will likely find the fish. For bait I would carry, squid, shrimp, and bloodworm fishbites and that should pretty much do it.

Croakers
They are everywhere. The little ones that is. The big ones I know of are in a small area or two in the James. Depends on if you want to catch big croakers or little pin heads. If you don't care then anywhere or everywhere is the answer. I have caught several 2 to three lb fish in the James. My five year old loves catching them.
