Anyone doing any crabbing in the Potomac or the smaller rivers.
I see crab pots around Cob Island but I can't catch any up in the St Mary's Wicomico.

I had some really good luck in the upper part of lower mochodoc creek, the best in the past three years.
I'm a crabber with 120 pots out now in two of the Potomac Creeks below Ragged Pt, have been doing 2-4 bushels each time for the past month, expect that to increase any day now.
I just came in from fishing this morning on the pier in front of the house. Watched a trot line crabber run his lines for three hours and I never saw him catch a single crab.
He pulled up and left.
I caught spot, white perch and croaker, all too small, 6" to 7", I was using squid. Lots of bites but everything was small.
I live three miles upstream from Bushwood.
i caught crabs in the wicomico for the last three weekends troutling, At least a half bushel each time in a couple hours each time
About 2-1/2 weeks ago I tried crabbing in the Wicomico and it wasn't all that great but it has to start picking up I know soon. Joe117 where do you live? Sounds like you only live a couple minutes away from me, I'm on mechanicsville road....I put in at bushwood all the time.
