Cape Henlopen Surf Fishing?

Get to celabrate my birthday the 7/31 and 8/1 with a trip to Rehoboth Beach. Have seen reports that in the surf people are catching Whiting and Crokers. On the first of August will be surf fishing from Cape Henlopen and was wondering if anyone had some tips? Are you using shrimp, fishbites, bloodworms etc? Any help would be appreciated! Lance.

i have heard for surf use bloodworms, fishbites, squid, and cut bunker. i would also try the cape henlopen pier or roosevelt inlet. both the pier and the inlet are still producing flounder on squid and minnow combo.
