outer wall

Anybody catching striper at the outer wall ? I've got a chance to go this weekend with one of my buddies, never fished there before usually stay in the Chesapeake. He said we would be drifting eels, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going down tomorrow and will try to post a report when I get back. I usually throw BA's or BKD's around the walls, and drift eels out on the shoals. I'm also going to try the Hen/Chicken shoals tomorrow. When drifting Hen/Chicken I like to keep an eel on the bottom while jigging BA's with the other rod. Last year I did very well there.

what size jig head do you use ?

Whatever it takes to get to the bottom. Around the walls, a 1/2 oz jighead usually works fine.
