I usually post on the Chesapeake Forum, but was wondering if some of you DB fellas could give me some advice. My boat is right on the Chesapeake side of the C&D canal. I was wondering if it is worth it to make the trip through the canal to the DB to try some striper fishing over there? Do you guys catch anything up that far? How far south would I have to head in the DB from the canal to get into some good spots? Any help would be appreciated.

They're catching fish near the "Maul". Pretty long trip anyway you look at it.

I tried www.thebarn.com and www.barn.com and am pretty sure those are not what you were talking about. Do you have the link to it?
Where is the "Maul" in the DB? I have heard some people say that there are some stripers near the nuclear power plant. Anyone know about this?

Not too many stripers around in the Upper DB. If any at all, they are short. Bigguns are hanging out down by Lewes.
Sorry I missed this earlier but I frequently launch out of DE City on this side of the canal. You're about 45 minutes from side to side, once you get over to the DE River, turn south about 10 minutes and you'll start to find some striper areas, although usually between late April to mid-November. On a lot of charts, you'll see Reedy Point, the Augustine submerged jetty, the Yellow Can just north of the Salem Nuclear Plant. There is also the Phoenix wreck which has been known to hold them. The "Maull" is Miah Maull Lighthouse in the middle bay, now you're starting on an all day trip across the canal and down the bay. It can be done, just be ready for a long day. Actually the first lighthouse you get to south of the nuke plant is Ship John which has some broken bottom around that attracts fish. Alot more to go on about, feel free to email me with any direct questions. I may not load the cooler when I go out but usually I can keep some rods bent for my guests and may be able to direct you to some productive areas at the right time.
Daddystoy. I've heard of the "Pheonix" wreck before, but have never been able to find it. Was wondering if you could help me out on a way to find it? Thanks
Give me a day or so to track in down from my GPS and I'll post back with it...
