    Default lewes ice breakers

    hey guys heard that spring time on the ice breakers can be productive for trout. has anybody had experiences down there. am looking to start working the de bay with a fly rod

    John,
    Haven't tried it. Since the weakfishing has been so poor in recent years, I have opted to trailer the boat to more productive waters when I want to fish from it. A few smallish ones have been caught in the shallows at Hen. Flats, mostly at night, but even they are few and far between, for the most part.
    I can tell you that the current is tough to deal with near the Haystacks. You have to line up your drift very carefully and keep a watchful eye. I'm very hesitant to keep the motor running for fear of spooking the fish, but...
