Pasquotank revisited

Got home from work and decided to head out in the skiff. Ran down to the blimp hangar and trolled for an hour with no luck. decided to call it a night and was headed back to the channel into Whitehall Shores when the birds started going crazy about 50 yards off the beach. Caught about a dozen on topwater. A couple of 20's a few 17-19's and a couple of that were smaller than the lure.... A lot of fun to wind up the day.

yep,afternoon fishing kinda smooths out the day.it was a good week for them,seems like everyone that went found fish and with the weather staying pretty it should get even better.
We went out sat and sunday and put Nick (who is 7} on a bunch
and he had a ball cranking.

Mike,
It's always fun to put the kids on them. I went out yesterday also. Never made it past the last marker for the canal to Whitehall Shores. Birds working everywhere within 50 yards of land. Caught about a dozen from 16-20 inches, headed back in before dark. There was two kids in a jon boat, they were about 10 years old, covered in birds and catching fish left and right!

hope the kids in the jon boat didn't look up.it can get chitty if the birds are real thick.[grin]
