10. VMRC has "managed" osters and crabs to alltime historic lows, and we desperately want them to manage menhaden too

9. menhaden are important enough to the ecology of the bay that we need to stage another emotional campaign, but oysters aren't

8. the purse seine fishery reports a lot of dead fish, therefore they are the problem, but the bait fishery doesn't report landings so they are okay

7. the problem with striped bass is not enough menhaden, and we like to use commercially caught, ground menhaden to catch striped bass

6. its somebody else's fault that striped bass are sick...I know because I just went out and hooked, netted, landed, took pictures of, then released over 300 striped bass in a single day
