Volunteers NeededÂ*to Grow Underwater Grasses

CBF Workshops to be held in Richmond and Arlington, Virginia

You can help change the water quality in your local river by growing underwater grasses right in your own home. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is holding workshops in the Richmond and Arlington areas in April and May. Come to a workshop where you will be given the instructions, equipment and materials for growing underwater grasses. (All you need is a space in your home to hold a 2ft x 3ft tub for 8 weeks.) After growing the grasses for 8 weeks, you will be able to plant your grasses right into the James and Potomac Rivers. The cost for the workshop is $25. (Cost is per growing unit - not participant.)

Volunteers need to only attend one of the following workshops. Please email Nina Luxmoore, nluxmoore@cbf.org with your name, address, phone number and the date of the workshop you would like to attend. You must sign up prior to the workshop, as space is limited.
