Brand new St. Croix Legend Ultra U898-4 fly rod w/ unfilled warranty card, still in the plastic wrap, obviously never fished or removed from outer plastic. Listed on St. Croix website for $360, I'll sell it for $240, and throw in a half-dozen hand tied salty flies (2 clousers, 2 deceivers, 2 crease flies)...trying to raise money for a new kayak in the spring. This is an 8-weight rod, 8'9" long, 4-pieces.

Here's the deal...I used to own the 2-piece model of this rod, but broke it in the fall (in a fall ) of 2008. St. Croix doesn't make the 2-piece anymore, so I got the 4 piece...thing is, I already have 3 other 8-wts, including one of the same model, so this one is collecting dust. May as well start raising cash for something I'd much rather have, a newer/better yak.

This is the rod designed by Bob Clouser before he bolted for TFO. It's designed for throwing...ummm...CLOUSERS and bushy hair-bugs/topwater, a perfect big bass-bugging rod. Has the newer IPC technology. Helluva nice rod, a bit slower action action than the regular Legend Ultra, but still great for the salt (has saltwater components, and I fished my old 2-piece a few times in salt-water, no issues).
