Friday - Any Place I should make sure I check out ?

Am going out Friday and will most likley stick to the western shore...Have not gave it enough attention this year...:)

Most likely work from Bodkin Point to the Bridge area, jig some there, and then potentially head to Hacketts....

Anybody have any luck or some decent spots I should make sure I dont miss ?

Don't need the usuals (Podickery, Bridge, Snake) just anything that may have stuck out recently....

Mike; I was out looking for spot today. I tried in the Bodkin channel, out by the rockpile (where the old lighthouse used to be just south of # 5 daymarker), and then went north toward fort smallwood park. As we searched, I saw lots of good rockfish marks north. They were outfront of North Atlantic Marine marina in 16- 20 ft of water. I don't think I would liveline or baitfish for them; but I am very close to putting some trolling rods on the boat and run some # 15 or # 17 tonys off the boat. You would only need two and four oz. sinkers because the water is so shallow.

p.s. had a terrible day trying to catch spot today.

Got out for a few hours in the evening....Followed your suggestion...Not much luck...Couple of perch and one small striper....Still no spot at all....

Went back to the point around sunset and got one croaker...Not the most productive night, but still better to be out there then somewhere else....

Not sure where I am heading today, but will let ya know what I find....
