DOES ANY ONE OUT THERE HAVE A GOOD RECIPE FOR CRAB IMPERIAL? WE HAVE TRIED SOME BUT THEY JUST ARE NOT THE BEST. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATER. THANK YOU DAFFYDUCK:
-1lb of lump crab
-2or3 slices of "air bread", crusts removed
(As my mother would say, this is one of only two legitimate reasons for Wonder bread to exist. The other is fresh tomato and mayo sandwiches)
-Saute lightly some minced shallots, a little celery, green pepper and a few capers.
-Gently fold all of this together with a beaten egg, 1/2 c+ of mayo, lemon juice and 1/2tsp of mustard
-Put into a baking dish and bake @400 until puffed up, bubbling and slightly browned.(or stuff into mushroom caps)
-Dust with a little Paprika
