Default Rumble on the River this Saturday

Ok by show of hands who is going to be able to fish this Saturday? Start time is sun-up and we will weigh-in at 12:00 and no later then 12:30 right inside Weems Creek to the right. I figure you should be able to get from anywhere in the river in a half hour. Entry fee is ten bucks per person and the breakdown ad demarcation is below. Unfortunately I will be in North Carolina so will someone volunteer to collect and disperse the money at the weigh-in?

    Cheers,

    Evans

Hope it went well. I wanted to do it, but my hope that we were finally over our family flu epidemic was shot when my wife and son fell ill last night. At least we'll all be immune from it after they're done. And at least I got out on the River with JP yesterday morning.

I think the best may still be yet to come.

Post plenty of pics for all of us vicarious anglers.

No one missed anything this morning. Greg Millenburg and myself got out for a few hours this am and found NADA..........Zip...........Quite the change over the last three weeks. Saw a few tidal fishers out there. I guess this front moving through has shaken things up a bit. Hope it get's better.

I made my first visit to the Severn waters in about a month. Like SONeil said, the fishing was slow. SONeil and Greg Millenburg even checked me out in my Gheenoe, perhaps thinking I had the magic touch. After they left, I did some LT trolling, LT jigging, and some casting.

I ended up with only two fish for the day -- my largest perch of the year (at least 10") and a small striper. Both were taken through LT trolling in shallow water near the shoreline of sheltered areas; they both hit a 3/8-oz white jighead with a fat, dark green grub twister tail. The perch is shown below.

i don't know everyones boats - but think I saw mullenberg this am.
I got out late, and drifted by weems at check in time - but no one there.
I found pretty steady fish in two spots - got about 8 fish over 18, biggest was 22.
Will post pics separately for the leaderboard.
These were NOT in usual places. One of em held fish about 5 years ago - but not since. I guess god gave em fins so they could move.
Sure is pretty on the river this time of year.
