Well despite our efforts, we could not bring down the UBBB. Me and my crew departed on my Dad's Grady (Man that enclosure was nice) from Sandy Point well before sunup. We started off Podickory at first light and trolled north. We worked the area of Buoys 9 and 10 in Craighill channel and were on fish all day. We had several multiples with 4-5 fish hooked up at once. Only problem was they were all 18-23". Birds popped up from time to time but we did well just trolling the channel edges from 30-50'.
Spread was as follows:
1- 275' spoon umbrella, no weight
2- 225' 2&4 oz tandem
3- 175' 3&6 oz tandem
4- 150' small umbrella w/ storm, no weight
5- 125' small umbrella w/ storm, 3 oz inline
6- 100' large umbrella w/ tandem storms, 6 oz inline
7- 75' large umbrella w/ tandem storms, 10 oz weight
8- 50' large umbrella w/ 9" storm (hoping for a biggun)
We boated 30 fish, all rods caught except #8, bait was just to big for the bait in the area.
Was a great time, enjoyed seeing and BSing with everyone.
