    Default Excellent Day on the James Nov 16

    Fishing 4 1/2 hours today. Launched from Deep Bottom.

    River was muddy and full of wood. Caught bait easy and started fishing at noon or should I say catching. It took me an hour to get all my six rods out as the fish were biting so hard. I had some doubles today and my first ever quadruple.

    I didn't catch any monsters today. Big fish was 37 pounds. I lost count after I caught 25 fish over 30 pounds. I quit at 4:20 when I ran out of bait. What a day. Started out fishing in a long sleeve shirt and ended up barefoot in my t-shirt. Hard to believe its mid November.

    Great Catfishing Day. Whats the Yellow Buck Tail for? There are no Sea Trout in the Upper James. LOL

    Gulls were tearing up on Monday. Tried 10 minutes of casting but it wasn't stripers pushing bait up top but hoards of hungry catfish.
