NC Duck Hunting

Do any of you guys have any experience with hunting on public land in the Raleigh area? I am working really close to Falls Lake and know there are some public "game lands" here. Just looking to hear what people experience have been.

I have some buddies that hunt down there. It doesn't get good until later when they start to get some migratory birds - ususally in mid-late december is when they start getting more birds.

You can shoot birds down there if you scout. There are a lot of good hunting opportunities down there around falls but you need to get out and scout. There are a lot of people that hunt that area. It's filled with woodies.
