hitachi has a nice job site table saw. i guess it depends on how much you are going to use it. i have a ryobi table saw and a bosch. the bosch is by far a better saw but $500.00. both are job site saws so they are portable. for nail guns again how much are you going to use them. i have a paslode$349.00 and a dewalt 18 volt cordless $399.00. the paslode you have to buy fuel cells. the best bang for the buck would be a air nailer.i have a few diff ones but they all work about the same. it all depends on if you plan on using it all the time or a one time deal. look in the pawn shops you can get somw real good deals and you can play the price game with them.. good luck.

Hitachi N(??)-65 does the trick fo me! Nails are cheaper and readily availble. As for table saws....I'm not into the portable ones...IMHO, there is only one table saw...Powermatic, but it's a stationary saw, not meant to be moved around. Beware, depending on your planned usage..."bang for your buck" doesnt always apply to woodworking tools. There usually is a difference and sometimes you're just throwing money away!!

--just re-read your question....set of nailers...I assume you're talking about brad guns as well....Porter Cable makes a nice brad nailer and a pin nailer.

Thanks for the reply's. Yes that is correct I am looking for a set of finish nailers. 18ga and a stapler for sure. I have a small compressor so really don't another one of those. What ever table saw I go with will have to be some what portable, don't have the room for a totally stationary one.

I have my 40 year old Craftsman mounted on casters in my basement. It cuts accurate enough to build cabinets, and has plenty of power with a thin kerf blade. You find them often in the penny saver, and the older ones have cast iron tables which help a lot with accuracy.

I aspire to a $1500 Powermatic someday. It's really hard to justify though because the old Craftsman won't die....

Go pick up a combo kit at home depot. They sell Porter Cable kits with a small compressor and if you can find it 2 or 3 finish guns. (A finish nailer, Brad nailer and a stapler.) Good tools for the money and its a good starter kit. I have a compressor and finish nailer from a kit I got 8 years ago and they are going fine. Great for portability and small jobs. Paslodes can get expensive unless you use it constantly for work. For a good table saw, try a DeWalt or a Rigid. I compared saws for 3 days at the International builders convention and found that for my needs( Portability, warranty, features) I found the Rigid table saw which pops up to table top level and has wheels to move around was the one.
It all depends on how much you want to spend and more importantly what your gonna do with the tools.

Love my Paslodes. The little extra costs offsets having to drab around a loud compressor....and limitations with electricity and air lines.

    Love em!!!
