We had a great day today all things considered. We put in at Cape Charles and headed North West for a good ways till we started marking bait. We got the lines out and within 15 minutes the first fish was on. Termite set the hook and set the hook and broke the line. After beating himself up and swearing not to do it again we had our 2nd hit and after just about spooling his reel the fish paused his run for me to regain about 10 yards of line and then it too broke. Third drift Ramrod land a 30lb fish after a 10 minutes fight. Just as it started to rain good I saw the back rod take off and the fight was on. Termite grabbed the rod and began fighting the fish as Ramrod and I tried to keep the other lines from getting tangled with the fish. Just as his fish clears the lines another reel starts screaming and I got me a P.I.G. HOG! Just that quick we had our limit and were headed back to the scales to check the weights. Termite had the heaviest fish weighing 39.6lbs.
The Wind is supposed to blow tomorrow so it looks like it will be Friday before we can go again. Stay tuned and we will keep ya’ll posted
