Winter Fly Tying

It is quickly getting to that time again this year. The Saltwater Fly Club of De. will be doing the Saturday fly tying at Lewes Harbor Marina again this year. Joe and Amanda are great enough to let us keep Mac company and do some fly tying. We meet there on Saturday mornings from 9 until noon after the first of the year. It just happens to be the 2nd of Janurary to be the first get together this year. Come by and watch or bring your vice and sit and tie some flys for next year. There is much info. for anyone learning and even a few extra vices if you want to try it for your first time. It is a fun morning and passes the winter blues later in the winter.

Many people have asked about our tying at Mac's. We will be there on the 2nd of Janurary and will have some areas to tie flys and to watch also. The first time each year is a guess at how many will be visiting us so you may want to bring a chair along just incase. If you want to see something special you must tell us ahead so we can bring the material. I know that I will be tying a few eel flys that Ron likes. I will also have a extra vice if anyone wants to try before they jump into the tying world. Mac will have some tying materials but they will be limited. Hooks and other things are always available.

Just a reminder, we, the Saltwater Fly Anglers of Delaware, will be at Lewes Harbor Marina from 9 AM until Noon tying flys and shooting the bull. Stop by and say hello or better yet bring your equipment and tie a few flys with us. We can use all the help we can get. Mac's has some limited tying material so bring what you need.

It was a good day with old friends and new people who have the same interest. Here are a few pics from todays tying. We will be there most weekends at the same time. If something is different I will post it here.

We will be there,Lewes Harbor Marina, again this Saturday. I my self will be in and out in the morning. My wife Becky has joined the Friends Of Cape Henelopen and they have a meeting also on Sat. I will drop her off and then stop in at Mac's and then go back to get her.The rest of the usual guys from the club will be there.

Going to be in the shop Tomorow from 9AM till noon.A member wants to see some decievers and maybe a clouser or half and half. Not sure what else anyone will be tying. Joe was doing crease flys at the meeting.Hope to see you there.
