    Default Commercial License

I use to crab commercially but now have an office job. I have used my license part time over the years but I'm having my first child in May and don't think I will mess with it this year. I have a guy who would like to lease it from me and the going rate used to be around $800. Anyone know what the going rate is to rent my license for the year?

Congradulation's on the Job and expected new fishermen in your family!
Say with 6 good month's average season (May-Oct) thats $133 a month rent.
You may can get $1000 for the year, But if both you and he are content why push it.
I'm sure if he has a good year You could increase it some next year & still be ahead.
Just be sure he stays on top of mailing the report every month.
    Good luck

Yeah, the catch report activity is another reason to lease it. I have reported some activity myself over the last couple years so the license is in good standing.
