Finally the snow is gone and the first Rock is C/R.

While certainly not as fine a game fish as Skip's striper, I had a blast catching my first mud shad (gizzard shad, or "Magothy permit") while fishing with Virgil during March on the Magothy River. They are strong and active fish that gave me a well-enjoyed tussle on ultralight tackle.

After a winter of hibernation, and shoulder surgery, I made my annual trek to heat and found some pullage.
A little slower this year. I only got two sailfish on fly, and a couiple of yellowfin on gear. the latter were just a brief diversion, cause they were there, and it was lunchtime!.

Great trip though. we fished out of San Jose. Guatemala (Marina Pez Vela). I was on Rum Line with captain Chris Sheeder.
