    Default hot ditch

Its alot of people that fish the hot ditch that should take up golf or something like kite flying, just because you see someone catch a fish does not mean that you should fire up the big outboard and come on over. try to learn some areas for yourself dont be a boat chaser, here is a clue be quiet and respect other anglers that are already fishing there

The lack of respect for people who are on fish in there is the worst I have ever seen anywhere. It has got so bad that I often leave fish or don't even fish places where I know I can catch them because I don't want to deal with people crowding me when they see me catch fish. It happened twice today and I gave both boats an earfull. They were absolute jerks. I was totally alone the first time no one anywhere close and this guy races over after I catch a couple and parks about 20 feet from me. Later today three guys pull anchor and race to a ledge I was fishing and droped anchor within 20 feet of my boat again. Twice in one day. It makes me sick. All day long I had boats circleing me like wild indians.

Last summer I hooked a damn ray by the 4th. Serious rod bend. Another boat motoring by saw this and promptly anchored nearby, setting up for cobia. I imagine that when I held that stupid ray up they felt like tools.

I'm not sure what you expect ? The internet is a powerful tool , you can promote your business but you get novices that want to be trophy hunters. With fame comes recourse. I agree you should be given room to fish your spots but I'm not surprised after all the hot ditch reports that people are crowding & following your success. Hopefully your post will help inform the chasers so they too can fish with intelligence...Sorry to hear they won't leave you alone & I look forward to chartering you in the future ......Good luck tomorrow .......

I was out there last Friday having very good day playing with pups and every time we caught one someone would have to come over and see. One guy just had to come right in the middle of the area we were fishing, if I had a Hopkins I would have launched at him. Spent 6 hours and never left my spot and and caught over three dozen pups.

i was out there today also and we were catching alot of puppy drum near the mouth of the ditch and numerous times when we would hook into fish people would stop or troll right over our lines where we were fishing. overall we had a good day, caught two nice trout. surf rat what were you in? I was in the camo painted boat anchored near the mouth of the ditch most of the afternoon.
