Default NEW Boat - swivel rod holder help needed.

    Hey guys,
I am taking delivery on a 42' Yellowfin in May and I have to figure out my rod holder selection, the problem I am having is for big fish BFT and swords, I do not plan on stand up fishing for them so I plan on swivel rod holders and I am hearing and seeing a couple of different ways of doing it online. I want 4 swivel rod holders for 130 class tackle, one off each corner and one port & one Starbord in the midship area so I can fight a fish and run the boat at the same time if need be. "0" degree or "15" degree that is the question I am faced with. It apears that "0" degree might be the way to go. Which heavy duty swivel Rod holder is the best to use?? I would appreciate any help...

    Thanks so much.

I always wondered about the 15 degree vs the straight up swivel. I bet those guys at tight lines tackle in Maine can tell you about this. They sell BFT tackle and fish for giant BFT. I know if your fighting the fish from the rod holder they use the straight up swivel rod holder.
Good Luck with the new boat

Thanks Bob, I will be sure to check them out. It sounds like Lees "0" degrees are the way to go.
