Bad News

Well just received a letter from the paper company concerning the our hunting lease. Looks like the 1100 acres is going to be a housing development. Letter states all locks and stands must be removed by 03-24-05. My club has been hunting this property sense 1945. I myself have only been hunting here sense 1966. Wish I had the $3,000.000 to buy it. I guess it called progress. Really hurts when it hits home.

I know the feeling. We lost about 600 acres last year to a "private club" that is buying up a ton of primier land. Its got us pretty scared about the remaining land.
Hope you able to replace it with a better piece.

Man, I feel for ya! We lost about 1600 acres of prime land in Southhampton County a few years ago due to the stupidity of a couple members. It hurts everytime I drive past it.
