Muzzy Zero Effect - anyone use this?

I want to upgrade to the Zero Effect rest on my Hoyt. Anyone using this rest? Do you like/dislike it?

Jim, if I could have found one for my Mathews I would have installed one. I know they make them for a Mathews with a roller cable guard but could never find one locally. Mike Waddell on Real Tree uses a Muzzy Zero Effect. I have a Nap Drop away on my bow and love it, really improved my accuracy.

Might want to try the Trophy Taker, Shakey Hunter. I've been using it for two years and it's the first fall away rest I've used. Absolutely love it. The thing is bulletproof.

I use a Golden Key Mirage on my PROTECK XT 2000 and love it. (fall away)

I don't have one but I do know it's heavy and thats why I don't have it. The trophy taker and the Trophy hunter is a nice one as well.

If I get the zero effect or another drop away rest should I switch to graphite arrows with helical feathers???

I currently shoot aluminum with .125 grain 3-blade broadheads. But friends think I should switch to mechanical heads/graphite arrows. Any thoughts?

I have been bowhunting for 22 yrs. I have the Muzzy Zero-effect rest and it definitely works, makes your arrows fly straighter and is not noticeably heavy.
I shoot carbon arrows. The only problem with carbon is you buy a dozen and only 4-5 of he arrows are truely straight. However, they will last forever. Aluminum arrows are very straight, but may not stay that way after target shooting or after shooting through a deer. Carbon arrows will stabalize quicker in flight than alumimun arrows.
As far as mechanicals. Everyone has their own experiences and opinions. However, if you got 100 bowhunters together who have shot mechanical and asked them the question, you would find that more than several of them have had negative experiences with them. Mostly when it comes to penatration and odd angle shots. Wtih fixed heads you will not have either of these problems. The one problem that you may encounter with fixed heads is in-flight planning. This is easily fixed by having your bow professionally tuned at a local bow shop like Macrotech.
