    Default Freeze Dryer Info ?

I'm looking for info. on where I can get turkey legs freeze dried. If all works well my idea is to mount them along w/ the beard on boards for book ends.

    Thanks,

    Default Freeze Dryer Info ?

    Russ,

I mounted my own with the legs cut at the knee....salted the cut at the joint.
The same with the beard.....salted where removed from the chest.

I believe I used wire and nails to mount the legs to a board for spreading the toes during drying.
The red color has not faded and it has been about ten years ago.

The " Stop - Rot " stuff might work.

I tried salting some legs & beard 2 yrs ago & the bugs got to them even w/ the salt so thought to try something different.

    Thanks for the info. !
