I'm new to crabbing in the upper bay and was wondering when do crabs start to show up in the rivers? Gunpowder, midlle, bush rivers, etc. Thanks

Drought years, the Gunpowder produces sooner. But most years it's late July to early August. Those are the last rivers they reach on their spawn migration. The eastern shore current carries them to the Northeast River before they reach the Gun. But they're more jumbo jimmies when they get there-- that's the appeal.
