They are not very expensive, you can probably get a new Winchester for just under $300

...or a marlin. If the new Hornady soft point ammo is everything it's cracked up to be, noone will really need anything more for deer hunting 95% of the time. Thats 5% more than what the 3030 would cover in the first place without the new ammo.

Fish=On, not sure where you are but there is a Gun Show coming to hampton next month, you should be able to pick one up there at a fairly low price since the season is over with.

Are ya dead set on a 30-30. I seen more 300 win mags at the Va. beach gun show than I saw 30-30's. And the 300 is a heck of a deer gun. But do try the hampton show they are bigger and better then many other shows around from what I'm told.
