Fishing on Independence Day

Plan on getting some fishing done in the Smith Point area over the holidays. Anyone out there that can set me on what might be active, I sure would appreciate any information.[grin]

We tried there for croakers and flounder on Tuesday with very little luck. I would suggest that you go over to the east side of the shipping channel around the Cabbage Patch and try there in 40 to 55 feet of water. Also try on the lumps there. Try squid, shrimp, crab parts and worms. Croaks will also hit cut bunkers but the other baits seem better.
