    Default Wye river 9 - 14

Went to the Wye yesterday with the wife and her sister. Got to the landing at 5:30, and grabbed the last spot in the lot !! Got through the fog and started crabbing at legal time. 1200 ft.snood line, baited with chnx. Tried shallow earlier, but moved the line out to 8 - 10 ft. that produced much better crabs. Finished the day with a good bushel of nice crabs !! Water temp. 73 degrees, steady wind from the West, that picked up as the morning went on. Beautiful day on the water !! Dean

Thanks for the report. I haven't been down to the Wye in 3 weeks. I was wondering what the crabbing has been like. Going on vacation this weekend so I won't be able to crab until the 1st weekend in Oct. Hopefully the crabs will still be there in good numbers.
