How long to they stick around?

I know crabs usually get up the bay around the BB by late May (if lucky) and fall is usually the best crabbing of the year... but how long does the action last before they head out and go into the mud?
I usually get distracted by the awesome fishing this time of year and tend to forget about the crabs...

Usually through Halloween. I am no pro, but I think I was still running the trotline til the water hit the fifties.

I usually crab until it i'm too cold and not catching anything. The past five or so years that's been about the 1st week of november.

Tuesday the 5th of what month? :) I have found that you will still catch them after 2:30!
