Left the creek at 5:45 this morning and dropped lines in the water looking for some macks. We were going to try for macks for a few hours then move to the spot. Never made it to the spot. Nailed the macks at windmil bar in 19' of water, marked the spot on the GPS and continued to catch them all day long. Trolled #1 planer with gold about 50 -70 ft back. Final count was 25 nice macks 9 big blues and many lost in the mix. All in all it was a banner day. Called on the radio to anyone on the board I could think of but no replies.
Everyone was listening to the radio because it started 2 boats and ended up 30-40 about 11a.m. Arms were hurting by then and had already had our fun[excited][excited]

YAHOOOOO! Maybe the Macs are finally coming up!
Great report. We tried Smith Point light, wish we had gone south.

Great day Pepsi Man. I heard you on the radio as we were at Butlers Hole spot fishing. Were you the one looking ice? Was it for the fish or for you, man it was hot today. We had a good day playing with the spot but did not have enough time to get out with the fleet and mack fish. We sure were envious hearing you today. Hope you have many more.

Nice work. My wife and I went creek cruising Saturday. Saw macks jumping in 18' on Fleets Bay side of Windmill Bar and me with nary a rod on board. Last time that will happen. Also saw some small schools of bluefish feeding on the surface in the Rapp. Speaking of creek cruising, that was our first trip into Dymer Ck. Now those are some houses!

Nice job Pepsi Man! We caught a lot of Mac's in the same
area on Saturday , but nothing big enough to win the
tournament. They were really hitting on the silver spoon's.

I am eating the leftovers of our catch (Spanish) from Saturday as I type this. We trolled the bar for about 3 hours Sat (8-11AM)and caught 4 up to 19 inches. All were in 19-20 ft if I remember correctly. Ran out to 42 afterwards and joined the fleet. No flounder for us as we could not keep the 2 lb Croaker off the rigs. Caught around a dozen of the Croaks, 1 nice Bluefish and 2 nasty Oyster Toads. Pulled the lines after an hour and a half or so and just went cruising. It had heated up pretty good out there by the time we left. Needed the breeze from running to cool down.

I was coming out of the creek about 9 am and heard your call for ice. I was low on ice myself or I would have offered but did join the fleet for about 2 hrs. caught one right off the get go then lost a nice one a few minutes later. After that couldn't shake the blues and trying to get in the right spot again was hard with so many boats. Thanks for sharing all your info and congrats on the great day with the macks

    Thanks

    Andy
