went outta IRI sat am looking for tog, blues and stripers. despite the poor fishing reports on friday, i had hoped that the stripers would be willing. air temps were in the high 20's, water temp was 44. we looked around a bit, jigged on a few marks with no luck. ran out to my wreck and got a couple nice tog, till we ran out of bait. water at 5 miles out was only 45.... several boats were fishing the shoals and not doing anything. we went back inside and trolled for a bit, then called it a day. a few fish were caught off the CM rips.

although there are fish still north of us, i think this next blow will keep them well offshore when they pass by. i think my season is done. although i surely loved catching those tog!
