With a late start ran from Fleet's Bay to Windmill to Silver Beach then back across to Hole in the Wall up to Windmill back home to Fleet's Bay mid day Saturday. This was first day i could get out of the creek due to skim ice. Mark minimal bait, zero birds, heard lots of action from Cape Charles area. Who got the skunk out today and where should i point my old wood boat a first light Sunday morning?
Same boat as you- late start from windmill, and headed over to 42- messed around there for a while with little birds and little bait. Worked our way back in, looking for anything, but found nothing. Heard good radio chatter about the Cape Charles area, never made it down that far. Also talked to a friend who did very well (relatively) at Plantation Light, with a couple 40 inchers. If the wind lays down, think im gonna run as far south as i can get.

we left norview early and ran to 42. trolled towards 37/38. found lots of bait and good marks. guess they didn't like the viddles i was serving. only 3 subslot fish, all on chartruse chutes, 2 of which were behind umbrellas. crossed back to wolftrap and north to home. marked lots of bait in midbay, but no fish. might be the moon. haven't seen any of the sublegal fish that were so plentiful 2 weeks ago. all the action i heard of was at plantation or south.
Hey Ginger! Long time since we have talked. I heard you on the radio yesterday. I was out the same time trolling between stingray and cherry pt. Skunked also. Cant sleep....dreaming of birds and fish [smile]. Debating wether to go out at 1st light or not.
