Default striped cat (skunk) no striped fish :(

Another bummer day on the bay. Well, at least it was better than working! Didn't see any birds working, didn't mark any schools of bait, really didn't see anything "fishy" at all. Oh well, there is always saturday.

Went out from Wake, cruised down river and across to the cut channel, from there we went to the Rapp Shoal Channel, trolled down bay for several miles.......the waves weren't getting any smaller and the temp was falling so headed back across to the landing., AND ha ha to you John, wish you could have been with us!!!

I don't have water temp on my boat but just looked at marine forcast water temp and wasn't happy. Very hard to catch below 42degf and many below or at that in the bay with 44 at CBBT. Let Friday push us up a degree or two and let the fish get by the shock of another quick temp fall. Sat and Sunday look like 1ft and I'm feeling good about the prospects.

    Have a good one

Frog I'm turning left and might work back to straight. Still have a visual memory of that umbrella rig doubled in half with 80# spider wire coming off the spool in drag like it was in free spool. 40#er and a miss like that makes you wish the week away I don't care who you are.

Bobby My plan is to start straight then work left. One of us
should be able to locate some action! I'll let you know what
I find when I get the lines in.

I'll be out with my 9 year old crew member to try to restore his faith in the fishing Gods and his dad. Looks like Saturday may be ok after this weather comes through.

Appreciate the updates. I'll probably try the 59A area as well, at least if I can find bait there.
