    Default Great Morning 12/15/05

Taking the projected forcast for the bay that I read last nite the salt herring filets came out to soak. This morning after a couple rinses they were perfect for the skillet. My lovely young bride made some biscuits and fried the fillets to perfection. That along with some home jarred honey , king syrup , a cup of coffee for each of us and that made for a great brunch. Wile we dined the ducks and geese put on a wonderful display of their flying abilities for us. And ya'll thought I'd been fishing didn't you.[grin]

All I can say is you must be livin' right! I know you kept the Cooper in the barn today. I am burning a G day tomorrow which looks like a wash, but Sat. and Sun. look promising. Went with KT last Sun. did fair in the afternoon around 38, 2 fish 37.5 & 38. Sure was rolly that day.

Wreck, I took today off to fish, ha! Unfortunately, my wife was in NN so I dined on Cheerios rather than the grand feast you had. Ended up driving to Montross to tour Stratford Hall, Robert E. Lee's birthplace. It was snowing hard when I arrived. I recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in VA history. Also took yesterday off, ha! Listened to the three charter boat captains who tried to go out tell of multiple seasick charterers. Went upriver to 8. Trolled a few hours. Actually marked a little bait and a few fish, but no takers. Water temp is now 44. Last year at this time it was 54. Last year I bought a Mr Heater Buddy on sale at Northern. Got it out of the box yesterday and it saved my fingers and toes. Toasty inside the curtains. 31 outside. Broke ice to get out of the slip. We are getting close to the right misery index for catching big rockfish.

    Pete,
Did take her out for a spirited romp the first of the week. Congrats on your luck at your new sport. Nice fish also.
    jwas 1,
The cheerios would probably have been better for me but the blurred vision and light-headeness wasn't that bad. In fact kinda fun each time I stood up.
    Warren,Dave,Kevin,
Didn't mean to decieve ya'll but the board has been kinda slow and I was boared. Been on vacation this week and haven't fished the first time yet. Hopefully Sat. and Sun.

the cheerios were not by choice, it was the only thing in the house. cupboard tends to be bare this time of year. hope to add to the freezer tomorrow. see you out there.
