Default Flat fish in the Rapp

Decided tonight would be a good time to try flounder for the first time tonight. Got off work and met my dad at Wake Ramp to try a couple spots on the river. Went to the White Stone side just east of the bridge. First drift got one short and one nice size one got off at the boat. Ended up making three drifts and caught nearly a dozen fish. Most between 14 and 16 inches. Two keepers at 17 and 18 inches. All fish were caught between 10 and 20 feet on plain squid strips and squid minnow sandwich. Maybe next time out we can bring more home but wasn't bad considering how little gas we used with prices being what they are now.

Original plan last night was to hit the bay maybe around 42 to try for flounder but we decided we didnt much feel up to the ride so we had a couple places on the river in mind and place number one paid off. Can't wait to get over there though and get some bigguns.

Speaking of eels.... What would be considered a good size for rockfish? I have had an over abundance of them this year in my minnow pot, biting my bait, in my cast net the dang things seem to be everywhere. Might as well try to get a little use out of them.
