    I read that article Bosko, I have seen their pots and fish pens every year for the past 3 winters. Carl Herring is a top notch fisherman by the way. he may hold the state crappie record, not 100% sure on that. Anyway it just confirms the huge perch that are found in that river.

    I dont believe he still holds the record, some kid beat it with a 4lb 10 oz'r out of a private pond. But dont quote me on that, check out the VDGIF website.... I think state records should only include those caught in public fisherys, kinda seems like BS to me...

    We used to talk to Carl at Bob's Gun and Tackle years ago, nice guy all ways willing to share info, he's the one that got me started with pinky jigs and slip bobbers.
