Did you know that Nationwide Insurance refuses to put new parts on a vehicle if reconditioned parts are available. The adjustor freely admits that reconditioned parts can decrease the resale value of your vehicle but by NC law they are only required to put the same year part on your car. It doesn't matter if their customer was the one at fault. The adjustor says you can use your own insurance company or pay for the difference for new parts. Please check your insurance company's policy to see if they allow new parts or require reconditioned parts. Farm Bureau allows new parts. Please repost to make people aware of Nationwide's policy.
