Fished eastland & panhandle today with only 3 stripers for the day, but one was the biggest one I have caught in Kerr in nearly 2 years. 33 inch fish...nice to know there are still some that size in the lake. Main lake was 39 to 41 and the creeks offered 42-46 degree water. Also the shore was on fire in the Cuscowilla area from North Bend to the mouth of Eastland. The picture doesn't do it justice, but try to notice the huge root ball on fire.

I had seen this burning in the past, around the same area and was told it was a controlled burn. I hope to hit one of the area lakes this week or early next week to test the boat (repairs made and driveway tested ok), do a little fishing and enjoy a day on the water.
Let me know the next time you get a chance to get out and we can tag team the lake.
