when someone wants to be on your friends list what does it mean and how do you respond back. the good lord made some of us smart and others he made good fishermen.

It means they are requesting to be your friend

and you click the yes or accept button and they are added to your friends list.

or if you choose not to accept,

then they are not added to your list.

jim.b, in case you wanted a non-smartass reply (but why would you want one of those?) i think once somebody is on your friends list, it allows you to "chat" with them in the site. this is how other sites made with this software work, at least. those on your friends list don't have any special access to your stuff or anything, though. not to worry.
