I am thinking about going to wolftrap on sat. Will be my first time for spades. any tips on anchoring would help out alot so that I am not getting in the way to much. I have both a wreck anchor and regular anchor what would be the best to start with?

anchor up tide, with reg anchor,of the light with enough rope to make sure you get a good hold, dont want to slip back into the light, and get there early enough get the rear of your boat up close but not too close. put out a bag of clams some rigs and have fun. I hope they are up there aready..

Actually Dave he weighed a citatation 10 lb fish the day before at Queens Creek. The next day he weighs the 13 at Queens Creek and Jerry weighed it on 2 certified scales.
Unless he dipnetted it, I figure it for a new state record.

hay jon..anchoring is not a problem...if the wind is north or south above 10 it can get like a washing machine...and you cant chum with a hard running tide..but we have caught good fish using bottom rigs and regular hooks and on top using floats. i prefer the inshore side about 20 yards off..never have had a problem anchoring with reg anchor...too sandyfor wreck anchor. later
