Thanks for the report. That is usually what I hear when I get back to the docks (should have been there xxxx.x.)
Well, with my sights set on having another banner flounder weekend we headed across in the afternoon. It was not to be today. We ran across in the pea soup fog and put four lines out for three hours and one croaker was all we could hit in the head with the bait today. We had a couple of half hearted bites but nothing like the snapping mouths from last weekend. The drift was confused and the tide had just started to run when the storms set in around us. Ran back across into the "Perfect Storm" at the mouth of the Hole In the Wall. The word at the dock was that the morning bite was the one to be there for. Or maybe I just couldn't get it together today, we missed two or three opportunities and it was so freaking hot that the crew ( me included and probably leading the pack on this one) was having some concentration issues. Today looks pretty nice too but I am cutting the lawn and working on the next pass.

I tried to go over to the cell from Mobjack bay on sunday morning. At wolf trap light there were 3.5 to 4' swells. I decided to turn back in my 19' skiff. I fished Mobjack and caught some croaker and a 3' sand shark. It was hot and a crappy day.[sad]
