Put in yesturday at Garretts at 0730 and fished til noon. Managed one catch and release striper right out in front at the rock pile. Cruised around working the fly road and light tackle with rattle traps but nothing else doing. The water was stained/muddy like crazy. Thought there might be a few croaker kicking around so we anchored up, but again nothing happening. Nice day to be out. Marked a ton of bait fish and some decent schools around bouy 12. They were holding right on the bottom at the channel edge. Looking forward to the season opening.
