Default Canal that connects Asswoman bay to Indian River

Does anyone know if that canal goes all the way thru
I took my boat several miles up into it last year but the tide was going out so I had to turn around.

The canal does run from IR bay to Little Assawomen Bay and the dredging is done. Caution should still be used on low tide and watch for downed trees in the water.

    Default not too deep

Just tried to run into it on a flood tide the other day I was averaging readings as shallow as 3.6 feet and the tide was very high over the docks on the canal. I only ran down to the first bridge being afriad my t top wouldn't clear it. There are no height postings on that bridge. Its a very narrow shollow canal that has swift current so good luck if u decide to try. My boat is a 20 footer. It does go all the way through.

I wonder how much it gets used. Looks like it's about 3 miles long

We stayed at the Canalside Inn in Rehoboth during that nice cool weekend in July. I did not notice much boat traffice moving through there at all.

I'm not sure if they dredged it but you can make it in a small boat like a pontoon. We made the trip earlier this year and kicked up mud pretty much all the way, but didn't actually hit bottom.
