Guys, I'm headed down to Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks( aren't we all) and would like to take my son fishing. I would like to know if you know of any boat rental places near or around Myrtle Beach. I wouild like to fish in the back bays for flounder. Can't afford to charter. Thanks, Darryl
There are not any back bays in Myrtle. Are you talking about N. Myrtle. In Cherry Grove there is a Tackle/Boat rental place on your left driving in on hwy 9. If your talking about fishing south of Myrtle, Murrles Inlet, Pawleys Island, I'm sure there are prob places down there too. There are also plenty of places around Cherry Grove to fish from the bank, go down to the inlet, 53rd Ave., Cherry Grove pier. Good luck.
renting a boat can be as expensive or more than getting a guide. I would just google fishing guides or boat rentals in that area and you should find some on line....remember, the rental is only part of the cost....you have to put gas in the boat as well.
Captn Dick's in Murrels Inlet rents 1/2 day and full day 16'-18' Carolina Skiff's with bimini top. They have bait, etc as well. Rented one last year with my son - caught little sharks, puffers, picnfish - no flounder though.....Also have headboats and charters. Apache Pier can be interesting too......Heading to MB from PA this morning.......
