I read that a 50% mix of white vinegar and water applied gently dissolves the spots without harming the screen, but I haven't tried it yet. I may try it tonight (If I remember), I'll post my results.
Anyone know what to use to remove ?

I tried the vinegar trick today and I'm mildly pleased with the results. There are still spots, but a lot fewer. Infact, most of the spots themselves are gone, and only the outlines remain. I have not been good about cleaning the screen, so I guess I'm satisfied.
Update: I actually read the book, and found that regular windex (with ammonia) is recommended. I'd say there's another 20% improvement. I'm still interested in any suggestions for a 100% solution.
Different manufacturers may have different recommendations - use ammonia, other potentially harsh chemicals with care (and only if manufacturer recommends). Computer stores sell screen cleaning liquids which should be OK, spray onto a fine microfiber cloht like those used on eyeglasses - since it's a screen that's going to get wet, can probably spray directly into screen.
Try distilled water and regular dish soap, you don't need much just a drop.Use a micro fiber cloth to wipe and dry.
