Spear Tip Falling Off

I've lost 2 spear tips off my 38 special XHD the past 2 days. Both times after shooting a fish. Is there any trick, such as glue, that can help keep the tips on my gun. Starting to be a pretty pricey mistake with each tip costing about $30.

Plumbers tape, worked for my JBL.

I have the same gun. I use teflon tape and check my tip often.

I put Loc Tite on my tip. The blue Loc Tite can be removed with a touch of force.

The red is permanent - do not use that if you ever what to get the tip off again.

Don't smack me but the blue comes in a red tube - no idea why.

Lowes / Home Depot sell it - roughly $6.00 for a tube. You only need a few drops on the male threads.

Be careful cutting the tube tip - if you squeeze it as you cut - makes a mess.

It sets up in about 2 hours.

Great for a lot of other uses on a boat.

Loc Tite does work well and can be removed after heating with a torch...
